Earth Indian Restaurant & Wine Bar has been given a facelift thanks to the
Food Network's Restaurant Makeover reality series. The North York,
Ont.-based resto, which used to feature Italian-inspired décor, has been
transformed by designer Jonathan Furlong into a sleek, Indian-themed space
with three new fireplaces that create an intimate ambiance. Much of the
restaurant's northern India-inspired cuisine remains the same - save a few
additions to the menu championed by the Restaurant Makeover's host-chef
Brad Long. One standout is the mal pooah dessert, which looks a little like
a pizza topped with pomegranate seeds, pistachio, sugar and fresh lemon
juice. Price on the menu range from $5 for apps to $18 for tandoori prawns.
Thanks again very
much for the enjoyable lunch and for introducing me to this wonderful place.
I'm sure I'll be using them often.

Attentive servers, relaxing environment and divine food
Would go back in a heart beat, even if it means a long drive!
If you have never experienced Indian cuisine, this is your chance.
What a wonderful adventure.
The Garlic Naan, a thin, crispy, freshly made bread with a subtly flavoured topping that includes finely chopped garlic, was so delicious that the taste haunts me to this moment.
